Runamuk Guest Ranch: True Montana

Runamuk is for those who want a true ranch experience with riding freedom. We are a 5th generation working cattle ranch raising commercial cattle and horses year round on 18,000 acres of private land consisting of pine tree forests, open meadows and sandstone rimrocks.

This is a beautiful mountainous area with plenty of riding up Bull Mountain rimrock and through open meadows. You will experience genuine ranch life by riding horses and moving cattle in some of Montana’s beautiful country - experienced riders, ride with a purpose. As a working ranch, we offer the top cross-country riding in Montana with one-on-one cattle working opportunities. With no specified trails and only 6 guests per week, covering our private ranch is a true & intimate experience. Also enjoy great food as seen on The Food Network, massage, hiking, beautiful scenery and a sanctuary to relax, four wheeling, evening sunset rides, sunrise rides, picnic dinners (in great locations!), and overnight stays in our homestead cabin. Runamuk has a rich ranch history, documented back to the 1800s. Many remains of homesteads are still visible.

Lows

Lodge is a remodeled ranch house. Very nice and comfortable, but not the usual lodge setting.
No structured evening programs, but plenty of time to relax and enjoy the peaceful, natural environment.
Riding can be too arduous for beginners.
